About
As both an artist and curator, Liucija Dervinytė explores the pressing current global issues and seeks to find ways art can have an impact for positive change. In her artistic practice, she examines the importance of perceiving oneself as part of the natural world – an idea that also shapes her curatorial vision. She is particularly interested in how personal inner states influence sustainable behaviour, using exhibitions as spaces for reflection on our deep interdependence with the environment.
Beyond exhibitions, she embraces process-driven approaches and community engagement, organising artist talks, discussions, and collective art-making sessions. Since 2021, she has led a collaborative embroidery project, inviting participants to co-create a textile piece while discussing the role of art in sustainable development.
Now expanding her curatorial practice into new contexts, she seeks to further explore these themes, engaging audiences in critical conversations about the intersection of art, nature, and society.
