Ideas-Block

Founded as both an organisational framework and a physical space, Ideas Block functioned as an open environment for experimentation, collaboration and the development of new work. Between 2017 and 2024, its activities unfolded through two locations—Ideas Block and later Ideas Block – Kompresorinė, a former industrial site adapted for cultural use, including a dedicated ambisonic sound space for immersive audio practices.

Alongside its public programme, the initiative supported artist-led projects, community-based activities and informal formats of gathering and knowledge exchange, encouraging participation and cross-disciplinary dialogue.

The organisation is led by Liucija Dervinytė, who has worked across its activities as director, curator and project coordinator. While the physical space closed in 2024, Ideas Block continues as an active organisational structure, open to new projects and future reactivation in different forms.
